What is Relay?

Relay gets something done in person when you cannot be there. A local person goes to check, find or handle what you need, and sends you a report, a timeline and photographs when they can be taken.

Is Relay available now?

Not to everyone. Relay is getting ready for a small test in Ludhiana. Email us what you need and we will tell you honestly whether we can do it.

Where does Relay work?

Relay is starting in Ludhiana, Punjab, India. You can ask for a task in Ludhiana from anywhere, including from abroad.

How much does Relay cost?

Relay charges nothing and takes no cut during the test. You agree the price of each task directly with the person who does it.

How do I pay?

You pay the person directly, in the way you both agree. Relay does not collect or hold money, so it gives no payment protection or refund. Agree the price before the work starts.

Can I hire someone to run errands in Ludhiana?

Yes, that is what Relay is for during the test: errands that need a person to be there, such as checking stock, visiting a shop or staying until a repair is finished.

Can someone check a supplier before I pay?

Yes. A local person can go to the address, see whether the workshop exists and report what they saw, with photographs if allowed. It is not a credit, legal or quality check.

Can someone visit a flat or property for me?

Yes. A local person can visit, show you the place on video if the person present agrees, and send a report. It is not a professional inspection or a check of legal title.

Who does the work?

A short list of local people, whom we plan to meet in person and check before they can see any task. They choose which tasks to take. We will say plainly what was checked for each person.

How do I know the work was done?

You get a written report, a timeline and photographs when they can be taken. When the person checks in, you see the location their phone reported and how accurate it was. Only you can mark the task as finished.

Does Relay track people?

No. Relay reads the phone's location only when the person taps Check in. It does not track anyone in the background.

Who sees my phone number?

Only the one person who takes your task, and our operations team. People browsing open tasks do not see it.

What if something goes wrong?

If anyone is in danger, call 112 first. Then report the problem from the task. A person in our operations team reads every report, and a task under way is paused until they review it.

Is Relay a courier or delivery service?

No. Relay does not promise delivery times. It is for work that needs someone present to look, ask or wait, and to show you what they found.

Is there a Relay app?

Relay works in a web browser and is being prepared for Android and iPhone. It is not in the Play Store or App Store yet.
